Moving onto the halfway stage Nuala was keeping the leaders in contact as she pushed herself toward the last lap of the battery. Cliona and Zoe were working together to pass athletes in front of them to great effect. With the finish line approaching Nuala recorded a top finish and first local athlete home shortly followed by Cliona and Zoe, a quick count of athletes home confirmed a silver lining for the trio with yet another podium trip for Nuala, Cliona and Zoe.

Scottish University track & field champs - 2nd April
Two of Inverclyde AC's track stars put a marker down for the forth coming summer season with quality medal winning performances at the recent Scottish University track & field chamionships held in Aberdeen.
Shaun Tonner and Evie Semple travelled to Aberdeen to open their season in the first national championships of the summer which also proved the trial for selection to the Scottish University team for the coming internationals.
Evie started the winning performances as she started well from an inside lane in the ladies 400m, Progressing round the bend getting up to race pace Evie had past some of her competitors before the back straight. Enjoying pushing the speed on a top place was evident passing the 200m mark. Despite the blustery condition a newly focused Evie hit the home straight in relaxed mode to drive home across the line winning silver and automatic selection for the national team.
Not to be out done for the long journey home Shaun stepped out for the 200m final after an easy cruise through the heats. After some challenging months his coach and medical team worked wonders to get one of IAC fastest athletes back to winning ways. A smooth start for Shaun saw him get up to speed within the first 50m, Shaun a skilled bend runner used this to maximum effect catapulting himself onto the final straight, scything through the head wind the muscular frame of the local athlete powered across the line to visit the podium to collect silver and a place on the national team to join clubmate Evie.

Scottish Young Athletes Indoor league - 20th March
After the cross country exploits it was the turn of the under 11 boys who had secured a place in the final of the Scottish Young Athletes Indoor league. The event held at the Emirates Indoor Arena in Glasgow had IAC's young quartet of Keir Arthur, Aidan McGarragle, Harris Morrison and Philip McGeehan carrying the hopes of the club’s track athletes as they participated in 60m sprint, 600m and standing long jump after which points were awarded and totalled together to decide overall champions.
In the 60m Harris was first up and as the gun went he was tearing down the shortest sprint distance to finish within the top places and record a new best.
Aidan in similar fashion was off running stride for stride with the athletes in the opposite lanes, he too recording a new best and a top finish.
With the 600m more tactics were required with Harris setting the pace for the first of the three laps, a challenge to his lead going into lap two was short lived as he moved to the front increasing his pace as he went. With the last lap bell sounding Harris sprinted off to record victory in the fastest 600m of the series.
Keir was next to negotiate the three laps. With a very fast first lap Keir moved through gradually in lap two pulling the leaders back into range before he attacked on the final lap going down the back straight. Approaching the finish his legs carried him to a new best and valuable points for the team.
As the final event, standing long jump, Aidan was joined by the youngest athlete Philip. Both boys having practised the technique to get maximum explosion from the lift perfected their technique and both Aidan and Philip launched themselves further than they had ever jumped before again scoring valuable points for the team
After the excellent personal performances and an anxious wait by the young quartet, it was made worthwhile as they were announced silver medal winners and the delighted quartet were soon enjoying their moment upon the winner’s podium.

Weekend of 12th/13th March
Inverclyde AC had a gold rush at the weekend visiting the top of the podium as far afield as Inverness and Birmingham.
Chloe Simpson started the golden weekend with arguably her best performance of the season while representing West of Scotland at the inter counties cross country championship in Birmingham. Chloe has been a permanent member of the West of Scotland under 20 ladies team after some fabulous races since the start of the winter season in October reaping the rewards for her dedicated training regime.
Chloe started the challenging fast firm course with her determined fashion and was soon in among the counting team runners. Working her way through the large field Chloe was making fine head way as the miles went past bringing the team into the home straight it was clear another fine performance was enough to gain Chloe and her Scottish team mates a trip to the top of the podium.
Joining Chloe in Birmingham was Nicola Doohan in the under 17 girls, Nicola in confident mode after a good run at the national cross country some weeks earlier started steadily but similar to Chloe began striding past some quality opposition in the last few miles to secure a counting place within the Scottish team.
Moving north a team of senior athletes were competing in the Balloch to Clydebank half marathon. Andrew Harkins, David Hendrson, John Sharp and Nicholas Gemmell were taking on the 13 mile course. A close team trio of Andrew, David and John were always within the leading group with Nicholas a short distance behind.
As the miles wore on the top trio were clocking mile after mile in good time with watches showing possible lifetime bests were on the cards. As the endurance men pushed on in the last few minutes Andrew broke free with David shadowing his every move. John was keeping close eye as team prizes were on offer. Crossing the finish line Andrew and David clocked new lifetime bests and with John crossing the line just behind a clear gold team medal was awarded to IAC and another trip to the top of the pile for the local athletes. Nicholas new to the sport will be satisfied with his efforts as he to lowered his best for the half marathon.
Even further north in Inverness the hottest favourite of the day Andy Douglas stepped onto the line for the Inverness Half marathon, a very popular picturesque event, however following one of the countries fastest athletes for 13 miles was going to be a challenge too far for most in the race.
This proved to be the case as Andy hit the front and after some challenges to his lead moved into his natural effortless looking style to put distance between himself and the chasing packs. Andy kept the burners on pushing himself to victory in a time of 65 minutes equating to sub 5 minutes per mile for 13 miles another tick in the top endurance athletes season.

National Age Group Indoor Track and Field Championships - 6th March
After the successes of Inverclyde Athletic Club on the cross country it was the turn of the track stars to be at the forefront of the National Indoor Track and Field Championships, none more so than medallists Drew McIntyre, Scott Hannaway and Nuala McCheyne.
Blasting to glory first was Drew McIntyre, currently the fastest schoolboy in the country and one of the areas fastest ever sprinters Drew set his stall early with a very quick time in his heat before running a life time best in his semi final, before stepping out for the final some 20 minutes later. As he left his blocks driving through his acceleration zone Drew was covering the ground at an amazing rate crashing through the finish line alongside an Irish athlete which required a photo to separate both athletes. After much debate Drew was awarded silver medal and a fabulous new best of 7:03 less than a tenth of a second from victory.
Scott Hannaway more akin to shorter sprints moved to the 300m and qualified for the final with a new personal best in the heat. At the final a more aggressive Scott had him among the top placings approaching the back straight, with the athletes breaking Scott held his ground and dug deep for his determination to carrying him home winning bronze and yet another personal best which eclipsed the previous championship best time for the event, such was the quality on the day. Scott also followed this up by lowering his 200m best and will focus on bringing his times down in the coming summer competition.
Fresh from leading the under 15 girls to cross country glory Nuala McCheyne commanded her 800m heat to qualify with ease for the final later in the afternoon. A more cagey affair saw cat and mouse tactics take place with the girls. Nuala shadowed the leaders through the first few laps. As the bell sounded the final 200m onslaught the pace lifted as athletes sought national glory. In the final straight Nuala used her strength to hold of the chasing athletes crossing the line for another trip to the podium to win bronze.
800m was a quality event for IAC with Georgia Morrison producing another fine display in her heat to win a place in the final where the learning curve was step and a foundation to build on in the coming months. Ben Nicol was chasing personal glory in his 800m and after a very gutsy run stopped the clock in a new best some 3 seconds faster than ever. Andrew Winter knocked the largest time of his 800m recording a fast 2:30m for the young athlete.
In the girls 300m Zoe Renfrew was another athlete to leave with a personal glory having lowered her time in a very competitive race. Zoe in her normal efficient style sailed round to break 46 seconds a big step in the right direction.
In the youngest age category Niamh McIntosh gave her older club mates a fright. Niamh sprinted over the 60m and got closer to the magical 9 second barrier with a 9:10 for the youngster. She followed this with another lifetime best this time over 200m clocking a fine 31 seconds.
All IAC track athletes will now look forward with confidence to the outdoor events come April with a wish for better weather conditions.

National XC Champs - 27th Feb
Inverclyde AC made the trip to Falkirk to compete in the blue riband event of Scottish cross country running, The National!
In addition to Jonny Glen securing three in a row a number of other outstanding performances took place on the day.
In the senior men's race Andy Douglas was IAC 's top performer going into the race and his plan was to challenge Olympic hopeful Andrew Butchart of Central.
With firm underfoot conditions the pace was fierce from the start with both Andy and Andrew going stride for stride causing the huge field to string out after the first 400m. With three laps being the challenge for the seniors Andy was the only athlete left to challenge Scotland's Olympic hopeful having pulled clear of third.
As the race wore on and going into the final third lap the IAC man was clear and a silver medal was on the cards, Andy ate up the ground on the final 3,000m to lead the senior men home and collect a well-earned silver, ranking him second on the endurance list in Scotland.
Within the senior race a number of age categories are contested with Inverclyde athletes not far from the podium in all categories. This time Duncan McFadyen contesting over 55 years was battling his younger competitors and in the process finished the race and a quick review of finishers announced him as Scottish age group champion adding to the successes of the day.
Also in the senior race a return to form for both Craig Ruddy and Mark Pollard saw both excel on the day with Craig recording his best placing ever in 6th. Mark a previous double champion used that experience to record a top 30 finish, his best since last lifting the title eight years ago.
Earlier in the day the young athletes were setting the standard for their senior club mates to follow none more so than the under 15 girls (picture attached). The counting quartet of Nuala + Cliona McCheyne, Jennifer Lynn and Zoe Renfrew were running intelligently keeping each other in sight to allow the mathematicians on the course to establish if a podium visit was on offer.
Nuala was leading the team keeping within the top 20 places. Jennifer was in hot pursuit just behind with Cliona and Zoe striding beside each other to claim better positions. Reaching the home straight it was Nuala who hit the long run home first crossing the line to start the count toward medals. Jennifer maintain her position with Cliona just edging out Zoe over the last 200m. As the calculators were working furiously in the end it was great news for the young quartet claiming bronze and a trip to the podium.
Cameron Watson in the under 15 boys got the crowd excited by a very determined run where he was part of the leading pack of six with the lead changing constantly throughout the race. Approaching the 800m to go stage it was still anyone’s race with Cameron still in contention. As the finish got closer Cameron made a bid which separated the group reducing to four. Approaching the finish straight two athletes had broken free with Cameron sitting in third with fourth chasing fast. As the finish line beckoned it couldn’t come soon enough as Cameron had used all his energy systems. Striding for the line Cameron was pipped by less than a stride length for third, still recording an excellent fourth place in the country's rankings.
Similar to Cameron, Ryan Gray at under 17 had found his mojo and was back to his striding best around the course he has been successful on in previous occasions. Ryan was always in the leading group pushing the pace along getting past the 800m to go mark, the group had split with Ryan still keeping a top 10 finish in his sights, digging into her determination he pulled himself through the final straight to record another fine run in Callender Park finishing 6th.
Sharon Muir was IAC’s top lady athlete with a fourth place in the over 35 age category. Sharon who was collecting some scalps over the weeks leading into the national championship continued her form on the day and her competitive determination brought her home in the top placing's passing some younger talented athletes on the way home.

Under 12 Superteams
Inverclyde AC's stars of the future took their first steps into competition participating in Scottish Athletics Superteams held at the Emirates Indoor Arena.
Superteams is for young athletes aged 9 to 11 and offers competition on the run, jump, throw athletic programme. The competition on the day involves athletes competing over 60m, long jump and shot putt then a team of four compete in the 4 x 200m relay. With the popularity of the event increasing over the last few years the indoor arena was a wall of noise as over 500 young athletes tested themselves throughout the day.
Inverclyde were off to a great start when Harris Morrison ran clear in his 60m sprint to claim the first victory of the day for the club. Aidan McGarrigle was next up after Harris and again a blistering start saw Aidan with the leaders at half way, good sprinting form saw him claim an excellent silver placed spot.
With Niamh McIntosh and Niamh McGarva in the same 60m race there was a club rivalry at stake. On the day and after a good start it was Niamh McIntosh who claimed the victory but a fine performance from Niamh McGarva say IAC claim the top two places.
As the athletes moved into the shot putt Niamh McGarva found an untapped talent by her coaches launching the shot some considerable distance to claim third furthest throw of the day beating over 250 other girls with her efforts
In the long jump Matthew McGeehan and Aidan McAvoy were scoring good points for the local club launching themselves into the fine heated sand pit of the indoor.
Hannah Thomson and Honor McGeehan were notching up the girls scoring while gaining valuable competitive experiences which is the foundation of IAC development plan.
With the 4 x 200m relay involving both boys and girls team running together, the quartet of both Niamh's Honor and Hannah showed a clean pair of heels to the other girls team finishing just behind the opposing boys teams. IAC boys were focused to run well with the two Aidan's, Matthew and Harris coping well with the steep embankment's of the indoor arena to clock a very fast time, placing them among the fastest of the day.
All eight young athletes will now look forward to moving outdoor and challenging again this time for the outdoor Superteams in the summer.

International Qualification for IAC juniors - 13th Feb
Inverclyde AC's boys and girls under 15 4 x 200m relay teams have secured a dream spot at the International Athletics Indoor Grand Prix to be held at the Emirates Indoor Arena in Glasgow.
The eight young athletes will rub shoulders with the likes of Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford and Laura Muir before contesting the 'club connect' relay championship.
At the first round heats the boys quartet of Scott Hannaway, Ciaran Hogg, Ben Nicol and Josh Law were first up to represent the local club. Scott had a blistering start opening up a gap on the home straight before a very smooth change over into Ciaran who strode round the top bend and increased pace on the back straight.
800m specialist waiting on the line for the third leg, Ben Nicol displayed good baton retention on the crowded change over area before sprinting off. Ben more akin to running a few laps at the indoor circuit was enjoying the shorter race as he powered up the home straight to hand to Josh for the anchor leg.
With a spot for the international on offer Josh had the challenge of ensuring the chasing teams were kept at bay. With the support spread throughout the arena Josh made sure his team mates would be the first to ensure qualification at the prestigious event by crossing the line recording one of the fastest times on the day.
Not to be outdone the girls strode confidently onto the track with Nuala McCheyne, Georgia Morrison, Zoe Renfrew and Morgan McColl all determined to join the boys.
Nuala set the team off and having the high outside lane ran intelligently to use the final bend as a springboard to bring Inverclyde home among the leaders. Another efficient change over into Georgia ensured she hit the back straight in full flow pulling ahead of the following opposition.
Going into the change zone for the third leg Zoe, despite some unwanted attention got herself clear of the tangle and displayed some fine sprinting form which brought her a personal best the previous week maintained a top place for IAC.
Morgan McColl like Josh had the enjoyment of anchoring the team home, but with that comes the pressure of making a qualification spot. Morgan dealt with the pressure and stopped the clock fast enough to ensure the girls and boys would be representing the area at the biggest indoor event of the year.

Scottish National Open Indoor track and field championship
Inverclyde AC travelled to the protection of the Emirates indoor arena in Glasgow to compete in the Scottish National Open Indoor track and field championship, at the end of a very long day IAC athletes proved once again to be among the best in the country with victories and lifetime best being produced throughout the day.
The areas fastest athlete got things of to a blistering start with a victory in his 60m, Drew McIntyre got his electric feet up and away as he flew from his blocks into a lead at the 20m mark, a fine displayed of controlled speed saw him coast through the line equalling his lifetime best and another victory for the local school boy.
Adam Hay continued his vast improvements over 800m, the under 17 who started athletics this season is still learning tactics, however he stuck to his coaches plan and hit the front at the break. Adam pushed the pace on with two laps to go and despite a challenge going into lap three Adam sensed victory on the back straight as he hit the front increasing pace as he lead his race home recording another best for himself and victory for IAC.
Similarly over 800m Georgia Morrison, under 15 girls emulated Adam's tactic and lead the girls over the first few laps, passing through halfway another best was on. Georgia let her style flow going into the third lap and dug deep on the final lap raising her determination level to cross the line in a new best knocking five seconds off her previous time. 800m was proving a purple patch for coach Janice Hendrie's athletes as Zoe Renfrew after watching Adam and Georgia, hit the front in her race opening up a big gap on the competition. Zoe being carried by the huge vocal support all around the arena strode confidently round increasing the lead as she went. Another positive performance was on the cards going into the final lap with Zoe chasing down another best crossing the line some distance ahead and a very pleasing time.
Ross Davidson fresh from his winter training in Australia was the healthiest looking athlete on the track. Ross over 800m was chasing down his own previous best. After a steady few laps Ross dug deep to raise his pace carrying him over the line in a record time.
There was the familiar face of Jonny Glen who was coming down in distance to 1500m to test his body's speed system in preparation for his cross country challenges. With the pace being dictated by the UK's top 1500m runner Jonny was right on his tail making sure it wasn't going to be an easy ride for the more accustomed track athlete. As the seven laps were counted down at a fierce pace Jonny was proving that his distance training was having no ill effects on the pace of his legs. Approaching the final lap both athletes were at full throttle as they powered down the back straight into the final finishing line when the breadth of a vest separated them at the finish, a photo giving Jonny second but a very fast 3:55 for his effort.
In the younger 1500m Hannah McGeehan, under 13, was another who was coming down in distance to compete indoor. Hannah was using her endurance abilities to keep the pace solid over the laps ensuring she didn't let the pace fall below a new best time. With the mathematicians on the side keeping her informed Hannah lowered her best by a huge margin.
In the 400m Mark McGhee was focused on rising up the pecking order hitting the front at the break after the first lap, powering into the back straight his mind solely focused on reaching the line first and in his own words tunnel vision ensured a fine victory and time which was rich reward for his efforts.
In the final event of the day the 200m, Inverclyde had a number of stars with Drew McIntyre leading the clubs fastest athletes, securing the fastest local time of the day. In the younger age groups Georgia Morrison after her 800m best did the same over 200m with a flying back straight and holding form well clocked a new best over the longer sprint.
Niamh McIntosh having been at the Emirates from early morning was the last race of the day. With her contingent of loyal supporters and coaches Niamh got under way getting her small frame over the steep camber of the first bend before making great head way on the back straight, carrying her speed into the last bend and the final finishing straight Niamh recorded a new best to the delight of the watching support.
Thanks go to the coaches and officials who were providing support and guidance from early morning to evening ensuring IAC athletes were at the peak of readiness for the competition.

UK Cross Country Challenge (Antrim, Ireland)
World Cup holder Andy Douglas and under 15 inter district medallist Cameron Watson continued their pursuit at the top end of cross country running while competing in the UK Cross Country Challenge in Antrim, Ireland.
Cameron after his successful outing at the Edinburgh international was buoyant on arrival in Ireland and seeing the challenging under foot conditions suitable to his slight frame and light footed technique. Cameron from the gun was in the leading pack where the lead was changing constantly as the short hill sections were taking their toll on the opposition. At halfway a group of four athletes broke away to contest the three top places, with Cameron holding his form well over the muddy section a medal was in sight as the push for the finish line was on as all athletes started sprinting for the line Cameron crossing the line and for the second time in a week a visit to the medal ceremony.
In the senior race the best in the UK was in full flow after the start and similar to Cameron, IAC's mountain champion was tailing the leaders. Despite the fierce pace Andy, one of the most fluent and efficient looking athletes was in determined mood to finish in the top places. With mud flying from the feet of all athletes keeping it clear from the eyes was an additional challenge. Undeterred Andy maintained his form and began pushing through the field leaving some competitors to wallow behind in the now very muddy sections of the course.
As the leaders went through their gear range the bid for glory was on with Andy keeping apace, approaching the last half mile the distance between the front runners was negligible as they went flying into the finish straight Andy guaranteed another good team result for Scotland and a top 10 finish in the UK challenge event.

Scottish Young Athletes Indoor League
Inverclyde AC young athletes were to the fore at the recent Scottish Young Athletes Indoor league held at Emirates indoor arena, Glasgow.
All age groups from under 11 to under 20 are in competition in a full indoor programme of events. In the shortest sprint 60m Harris Morrison set the ball rolling for Inverclyde with a fine victory as he sped from the start opening up a gap to cross the line victorious. Similarly in the under 11 girls Niamh McIntosh continued where she left off in previous match with another win to her name in the sprints.
The areas fastest athlete under 20 Drew McIntyre was feeling the pressure from his young team mates, after an uncharacteristic start Drew switched his burners on to pull clear at the halfway stage before cruising through the finish clocking the fastest time of the day. In the under 20 girls 60m Sophie Williams recorded another solid performance and now concentrates in putting all the development steps in place to improve her times coming into the spring.
In the 800m series Ben Nichol at under 15 was looking to improve on previous best times, having realigned his training plan over the festive period Ben set off aggressively leaving his challengers behind as he strode round the four lap race with confidence. Going into the final lap the vocal support seemed to lift Ben round the last 200m as he crossed the line to record yet another lifetime best performance. In the under 11 age group athletes compete over 600m, IAC had Hannah Thomson and Keir Arthur representing the black and white stripes and enjoyed the occasion where the weather does not influence their fine performances.
Andrew Hunter, under 20 400m was the last event on the busy day. As the race was set off Andrew shadowed the leaders coming into round the first lap, as the pace saw some athletes tail off Andrew remained focus on the job in hand as he approached the home straight he strategically eased out from behind the leader and drove toward the finish line recording another victory and the fastest 400m of the day. Evie Semple returned to 400m competition and will be pleased with her performance recording a sub 60 second run to set the foundation for the coming competitions.
Scott Hannaway had a sprint double day with 200m and 400m testing the under 15 athlete. Scott had a confident 200m stopping the clock just short of his best, however over the longer two lap 400m race he put that disappointment to the side and attacked the first lap with vigour before working hard on the final run in to go under 60 seconds for the first time. In the girls under 15 200m Zoe Renfrew joined the list of athletes recording life time best. A fast start and quick stride down the back straight had Zoe in the lead which she held onto the home straight delighting the crowd with another IAC victor and fast finish time.
In another double of the day Adam Hay used his endurance abilities to tackle the 400m and 800m. A difficult double for experienced athletes but Adam took the challenge in his stride and set a lifetime best for his 800m attempt. At the start of the 400m Adam found the pace a change to his normal training however after digging deep into his reserves and willingness to work exceptionally hard he ran through the finish with another lifetime best in his pocket and an experience of what speed running is all about.
With one match to go Inverclyde youngsters will be looking forward to the warm and dry of the Emirates to enjoy and experience new events in a new environment.

Great Edinburgh International
Inverclyde AC had a number of athletes participating at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh. Athletes were representing Team Scotland and West of Scotland at the Great Edinburgh International.
In the senior men and under 23 Celtic International Andy Douglas and Jonny Glen were competing for Scotland West and under 23 Team Scotland respectively. A ferocious start saw both athletes dominate the leading pack driving the pace over the very heavy underfoot conditions. After lap 1 of the 6 lap race Andy had opened up a small gap and gradually grabbed the race by the scruff of the neck to move through a couple of gears causing the following athletes to spread over the course. Jonny was controlling the younger age group while pushing the seniors in the leading pack behind his clubmate.
Approaching the last lap Andy was well into his normal fluent dominating style proving why he was crowned World Cup mountain champion in 2015. After the last uphill section Andy drove into the finish to collect another well earned title and another victory at an international competition.
Just behind young Jonny started hunting down his more experienced opposition and as the last 200m came into sight Jonny sprinted for the finish flashing past some of the best athletes the UK and Ireland had to offer to secure a place beside Andy on the podium.
In the younger age group Cameron Watson was representing under 15 boys and having gained his mojo at the end of 2015 started 2016 with a bang and another excellent performance on the big stage. Cameron with his slight frame eased across the muddy surface in the leading pack of athletes. At the halfway stage Cameron was once again looking at a fine performance and medal winning position for Scotland West. With messages of encouragement ringing in his ears throughout the laps Cameron was holding strong in the final flurry of the race. In the long final straight Cameron strode into the finish line recording a top 10 finish and sufficient points to assist Scotland West to gold medal position.
In the under 17 girls Shelby Morrison and Nicola Doohan were team mates for Scotland West and had the additional challenge of being in the same race as the full international. Undeterred both Shelby and Nicola set about the race with a maturity expected of more experienced athletes. Shelby was within the Scotland West team group all packing well with Nicola just off the pace but with Nicola normally coming through at the tail end of races team manager was relaxed.
As Shelby approached the finish straight it looked like another IAC athlete was heading to the podium and after Nicola brought the team home the mathematicians were calculating the good news of silver for the local girls.
In the under 17 boys Ryan Gray was back to the course where he has ran some cracking races in the past and another for his memoires was on the cards as he was pushing the leaders to increase the pace over the last 800m. Fighting for places over the last 400m Ryan was relying on his team mates to make up the final places, after some fine encouragement Ryan and his team made the podium to be awarded silver.
Nyke Mulholland was the last IAC athlete to visit the podium but no less important than her fellow club mates. Nyke in the senior women race had her regular aggressive start sprinting off to ensure she was a counting team member. As the laps went by Nyke was focused on the job in hand and with a very concentrated approach to the last 400m Nyke secured another medal to leave an international event and be brought back to the local area.
IAC also had Rachael Bushfield selected for the senior womens team and Nuala McCheyne and Jennifer Lynn representing the under 15 girls although not managing the podium place all three should be happy having secured selection for the prestigious Edinburgh event.
